What does the price include?
The new patient certification is $125 in every state. Renewal pricing varies: $50 in Pennsylvania and Ohio, $75 in all other states. The fee covers the phone consultation with a licensed doctor, the certification submission to your state's medical cannabis program, and full assistance navigating your state's patient portal. There are no hidden charges.
Some states charge their own fees on top of the doctor visit — for example, Pennsylvania charges $50 annually for the patient card, Ohio charges $50, Maryland charges $25. These state fees are separate from our certification fee. See state-by-state fees here.
How long does the call take?
Most calls take 5 to 15 minutes. New patient visits sometimes run a few minutes longer than renewals. Our doctors don't rush you — they review your history, answer your questions, and complete the certification efficiently.
Is this legitimate? How are you different from sketchy online services?
MJ.Doctor is operated by Green Bridge Society, a medical cannabis certification practice founded in 2018. We've certified over 100,000 patients across 10 states. Every doctor in our network is licensed, registered with their state's medical cannabis program, and certified to evaluate patients via telemedicine.

What conditions qualify for medical cannabis?
Qualifying conditions vary by state, but most programs cover chronic pain, anxiety, PTSD, severe nausea, cancer, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Crohn's disease, glaucoma, ALS, Parkinson's, sickle cell anemia, severe muscle spasms, and many other conditions. Some states (like Oklahoma and Virginia) have broader qualifying criteria.
If you have questions about whether your condition qualifies, the easiest way to find out is to book a call — our doctors will tell you during the consultation.
What if I don't qualify?
If our doctor determines you don't qualify under your state's program, you'll receive a refund per our refund policy. We don't certify patients who don't medically qualify — it's bad medicine and bad business.
What number will the doctor call from?
Doctor calls often come from private, unknown, or spam-labeled numbers because of HIPAA-compliant calling systems. Keep your phone nearby during your scheduled window and answer all calls — even ones that look like spam.
Can I use HSA or FSA?
It depends on your plan. Many HSA and FSA accounts cover medical cannabis certification visits as a qualified medical expense. We can provide a receipt for reimbursement. Insurance does not cover medical cannabis certifications in any state we serve.
How quickly will I get my card after the call?
Card timing depends on your state. Some states (like Pennsylvania) issue a digital card within hours of certification — you can visit a dispensary the same day. Others (like Michigan) mail a physical card that takes 7-14 business days. Our team explains your state's exact timeline during the booking process.
